Disclosure

Affiliate disclosure

Plain-language, FTC-style disclosure of how we earn money and how we keep it from influencing what we recommend.

BifacialPanels is reader-supported. To keep our guides and calculator free, we plan to use affiliate links: links to retailers that may earn us a commission if you make a purchase — at no extra cost to you. You would pay the same price either way. No affiliate links are active on this site yet(see "Current status" below); this page explains how they'll work when they are.

How this affects our content

It doesn't change what we recommend. We are not paid to rank or feature any product, and a commission never determines our guidance. Where we suggest a category or a product, it's because we believe it's genuinely relevant to the use case — see our methodology for how we form recommendations and what we refuse to fake.

Current status

As of now, we have not joined any affiliate programs, and the site contains no affiliate links. Buttons and links across the site currently point to our own guides and calculator. When real programs are approved, affiliate links will be clearly marked and this page will name the networks and major retailers involved.

What we will not do

  • Invent prices, discounts, or savings figures.
  • Publish fake reviews, star ratings, or "best overall" badges.
  • Claim we've tested a product when we haven't.
  • Let a commercial relationship change a stated product fact.

Identifying affiliate links

Once affiliate links go live, we'll mark commercial sections with a short disclosure placed near the links themselves, in addition to this page. Outbound affiliate links will use standard rel="sponsored nofollow" attributes.
